Dutch Painting in the Golden Age 1600-1689 study day

On Thursday 11 April from 10.00am at the Digby Hall the Arts Society host a study day called ‘Dutch Painting in the Golden Age 1600-1689′ with Clare Ford-Wille. Exploring the influences and outstanding artists working in Portraiture, Landscape, Still Life and Genre scenes. The study day will comprise three lectures: the first will begin with an introduction to the historical and economic circumstances which led to this golden century and then seek to place both artists and subjects in the context of Dutch painting as a whole and art elsewhere in Europe.
